Spiritual healer Eliyantha White infected with COVID-19

Sri Lanka's controversial self-proclaimed spiritual healer, Dr. Eliyantha White has contracted the COVID-19 infection and has been admitted to a private hospital in Colombo. Hospital sources said his condition is stable.
Several of his bodyguards had also been infected with the virus.
He has recently caused a stir in the community by dropping several pots in to rivers, as part of a spiritual healing to eradicate the COVID-19 virus from Sri Lanka.
Former Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarchchi, Cabinet Ministers Udaya Gammanpila and Prasanna Ranathunga also joined in dropping these clay pots in to the river.
Last year, as the Covid virus spread across the country through naval officers, it was reported that Eliyantha White had taken steps to cure a large number of covid patients using the 'Kundalini Yoga'.
Eliyantha White had recently told the media that he had been invited to fight the covid epidemic in India due to his contribution to the fight against the Covid epidemic in Sri Lanka.
Dr. White, on the instructions of then President Mahinda Rajapaksa, had also cured world-renowned cricketers of the calibre of Sachin Tendulkar, Lasith Malinga and Dulip Samaraweera in the past.
