Curfew extended in Colombo amid spike in fresh cases
The ongoing curfew in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam Districts will remain in force until 5.00am on Monday (27), President’s Media Division said today.
Twenty-four more individuals have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, stated the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.
All 24 cases are reported from the Bandaranayakepura area in Colombo 12, said the Ministry.
Accordingly, the total count of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has soared to 295 cases.
In all other districts Curfew will be effective from 8.00pm to 5.00am till Friday (24).
Curfew in these areas will be re-imposed at 8.00pm on Friday and continue until 5.00am on Monday (27)
Travelling to and from the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam Districts is completely prohibited for every citizen.
