New airport shuttle service launched in Sri Lanka
A new luxury ‘Air Port Terminal Shuttle Service’ has been launched today by Transport and Highways Ministry Secretary Ranjith Rubasinghe at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
The shuttle service was launched from the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to the Colombo Fort Railway Station and the Multimodal Transport Centre (MMC) in Makumbura .
The new luxury bus service was launched at the BIA as a solution to one of the biggest issues in the history of Sri Lankan aviation.
These buses departing from the airport will reach their destination along the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway without stopping in between. A total of 10 luxury buses have been assigned, and a fee of Rs. 3,000 per passenger is also charged for a single journey.
