R. Rajamahendran, The Chairman of The Capital Maharaja Group, has passed away. R. Rajamahendran who is fondly known as ‘Kili Maharaja’, was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.
He was in critical condition for several days and reportedly he was receiving treatment at a private hospital having contracted COVID19.
The Rajamahendran family are the owners of The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited and its subsidiaries. Rajamahendran is known to be trailblazer in the media industry as he revolutionized Sri Lanka’s media landscape with Sirasa TV and Sirasa FM.
