Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe left Sri Lanka this morning to participate in the 7th Indian Ocean Conference in Perth, Australia.

The President will be in Australia from February 9 – 10, and will deliver the keynote address in the 7th Indian Ocean Conference.

He will also explore investment opportunities for Sri Lanka during the event.

According to President Ofiice, the President will deliver the keynote address, meet with Western Australia's Premier, and engage with Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong during the conference.

The event aims to foster regional cooperation, bringing together key stakeholders to shape a roadmap for the future.

The annual conference debuted in Singapore in 2016 and has since grown into a significant gathering of ministers, political leaders, diplomats, strategic thinkers, academics, and media from various countries.
