Veddah Chief Wannila Aththo’s spouse passes away from COVID-19

Sri Lanka’s Veddah Chief Uruwarige Wannila Aththo's spouse Uruwarige Heenmanika has died due to Covid-19 while receiving treatment at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.

Last week, several family members of Wannila Aththo have been contracted Covid-19. She had been hospitalized over COVID-19 about two weeks prior to her passing. It is also reported that she had been ailing from kidney issues for some time. Heenmenika was a mother to nine children.
