NSW issued travel advice amid Victoria coronavirus cases spike with 41 positive cases overnight.

NSW Health and the NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) with the kind support of the Western Sydney Local Health District, have developed Social Media Tiles for state-wide use in English, Sinhalese and other languages to promote key COVID 19 messages in response to the new cases in Victoria.

Victoria has recorded its highest number of COVID-19 cases in nearly three months as the state begins school holidays amid a testing blitz.

On Saturday, Deputy Chief Health Officer Annaliese van Diemen confirmed there were 41 new cases.

The state has recorded 1987 cases and there are now 204 active, with five of those in hospital and one in intensive care.
