From Waste to Value - Plastic pollution Crisis Explained - Webinar organised by SLA

Annual consumption of plastic bottles is set to top half a trillion by 2021, far outstripping recycling efforts and jeopardising oceans, coastlines and other environments.  A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute and the number will jump another 20% by 2021, creating an environmental crisis some campaigners predict will be as serious as climate change. Sri Lanka is the 5th largest polluter of plastics believe it or not because we have not managed it properly.

Sri Lanka Association of New South Wales (SLA)  is organizing a webinar on a very important subject in Sri Lanka and the world over  about the issue of PET  bottles polluting  our once pristine beaches. This is an eye sore and a major problem the world over.

This webinar is moderated by Mohan Seneviratne, Vice President SLA will talk to Dr Anush Amarasinghe whose company is converting PET to ecofibers.
